Parents are informed of their child's progress and school activities through informal and formal parent teacher meetings, student reports, information nights and school newsletters. We encourage ongoing communication between parents and teachers to support each student's educational and social development.
The Hills School is a dynamic learning community with a high level of involvement and support from parents and other community members. The School has a parent support group, Parents Learning Understanding and Supporting (PLUS), who meet regularly to learn and share ideas and experiences that broaden their interests and assist them to meet the needs of their children, parent cooking class which using food to connect and to build friendships.
The Hills School community is enriched by the active participation and support of parents, community and business members who volunteer to assist the staff in a wide range of school and classroom activities. The volunteer program includes school canteen, water safety and awareness, ground beautification and maintenance, making classroom resources and community access assistance.
