Facilities and resources
Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.
Classrooms
Our inclusive, modified open classrooms are thoughtfully designed with connecting courtyards, providing a secure and inviting environment for both learning and play. These spaces encourage collaboration, creativity, and social interaction while ensuring safety and accessibility for all students.
Hydrotherapy Pool
Our hydrotherapy pool is designed for accessibility and safety, featuring a fixed overhead hoist and steps to accommodate students with varying mobility needs. This inclusive facility supports therapeutic and recreational activities in a comfortable environment.
Sensory Room
Our sensory room is equipped with a variety of specialised resources to support student engagement and sensory development. These include a bubble tube, switch-activated infinity mirror, sound-activated light panels, and a large swing, all designed to create a calming and stimulating environment for students with diverse learning needs.
Multi-Purpose Room
Our multi-purpose room features a spacious, fully equipped kitchen designed to support students studying Food Technology and other Mandatory Technology subjects. This dedicated space allows students to develop practical cooking skills, experiment with food preparation, and explore nutritional concepts in a hands-on learning environment.
Mini Woolies
In 2021 The Hills School in partnership with Woolworths and Fujitsu opened a purpose-built mini supermarket on site to support special education students to learn real-world skills. The new initiative cultivates hands-on experiences for students in functional literacy and numeracy, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Farm
Our school farm provides a versatile outdoor learning space that supports student learning in a natural environment. Rows of fruit trees and individual class plots give students studying Mandatory Technology and Science subjects the opportunity to engage in hands-on practical life skills
