Across NSW Public Schools we have been celebrating Education Week. We would usually have opened up the doors and welcomed families to an Open Day but this year required something a bit different. The theme has been 'Learning Together' and so students, staff and parents have all joined in The Great Hills Cook Off with classes and families taking on the same recipe and sahring the learning across different spaces. This week we're sending home Semester 1 reports which has been adjusted in recognition of the impact of learning from home and at school during Term 1 and Term 2, 2020 and reflects the many adjustments required from students, parents/carers and the school. We have made some small changes to how we write our comments and asked teachers to describe specific activities and achievements for your child. The report includes a personalised adjustment and achievement scale designed to provide a summary description of goal achievement and progress for each child. We would like families to be aware that students may not have covered all agreed IEP outcomes or content during this period. We are seeking your feedback on our adjusted school reports. Please complete the paper survey that is attached to the report or fill it out online.
