Principal's Award Assembly Term 2 2021

Principal's Award Assembly Term 2 2021

Principal's Message:

Principal’s Award Assembly

On Tuesday we celebrated our first whole school assembly in a year, the Principal’s Award Assembly. All classes were present in our recently updated hall and the novelty was apparent in the enthusiasm and participation of the students. Our captains Chelsea and Sergio played an important role in helping through the proceedings with Chelsea showing a particular skill for doing the Principal’s job by handing out certificates and congratulating the recipients – good on you Chelsea. A very big congratulations to our award recipients. Great work all round.

Mission Mufti

On Friday last week we all came together in support of a good cause. Part of living, working and contributing to our community is being socially minded and making effort to look after those that are vulnerable. On Friday we held a mufti day in support of homeless people in the local area. Students and staff bought donations of simple items that will make a difference in the lives of those who have fallen on hard times. The students lined up the items to create a visual representation of the kindness of people at our school. I would like to extend my sincere thanks for your collective contributions.

Driveway Disruptions

Last week we had a couple of disruptive days with tree works to the driveway. In Week 1 of Term 3, I am anticipating some further disruptions as works begin on flattening and widening the access path and installing traffic safety bollards. In order to safely transition our students during transport, when we return to school on Tuesday 13 July 2021, please follow the directions of staff members during morning ‘drop-off’ and afternoon ‘pick-up’ times.

We hope you have a happy and safe school holidays.
