Principal's message:
Hello all and welcome to our Term 2 Week 9 newsletter 2025.
Mission Mufti
Part of living, working and contributing to our community is being socially minded and making effort to look after those that are vulnerable. On Friday 20 June we all came together in support of a good cause and held a mufti day in support of homeless people in the local area. Students and staff bought donations of simple items that will make a difference in the lives of those who have fallen on hard times. The students lined up the items to create a visual representation of the kindness of people at our school. I would like to extend my sincere thanks for your collective contributions. Our support of Paramatta Mission is extremely well received and our community has made a real impact on the lives of those less fortunate. Thank you to the entire community for making this such a great event.
Reports
Our school reports will be published next week on Thursday 3 July. The Semester 1 Report will feature an updated format and some small changes to our progress measures that aim to enhance family understanding of your child’s goal and skills development. Families can access your child’s report via the School Bytes app or portal. Our reports share the learning that has been happening at school over the last 2 terms and provides parents with insight into progress and ‘next-steps’. An opportunity to discuss the report and update your child’s IEP will be avaible early next term.
School holidays start on Saturday 5 July with students returning to school on Tuesday 22 July. I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday period.
P&C
I would like to extend my thanks to the P&C for 2024 and the outgoing executive team. In 2024 your efforts saw the purchase of many resources that continue to improve the quality of teaching and learning items in this space and for use in our classrooms. I would like to make special note of the team of people that regularly provide the Bunnings BBQ as part of our fundraising efforts. Special thanks to Jeff our BBQ captain for pulling together the team and giving so much of your time.
In addition to resource donations the P&C contributed to staff wellbeing with the introduction of termly morning tea, coffee carts etc. This has been very well received by all – so thankful to the P&C for this contribution and recognition for the staff.
Thank you for your generosity and for the sense of community you create by caring for our school and caring for the people within.
We welcome the ‘new’ executive team with the continuation of President-Kaili Metani, Vice President- Sarah Khouiss, Treasurer-Shaun Narayan, Canteen and Uniform Coordinator-Payal Narayan, Secretary-Genevieve Smith.
