Principal's message:
Hello parents and carers and welcome to the Term 4 Week 9 newsletter.
BBQ Volunteers Shout-Out!
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible BBQ volunteers who have worked regularly at Bunnings and other events to provide a significant contribution to P&C fundraising. A special shout-out goes to Gary Clayton, Paul Hughes, Coral Boyle, Christine Coates, Margaret Hilton, Carol Hellams, Andrew Petersen, and Delma Parker for their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm. As we celebrate this wonderful team, we also want to acknowledge that some of our volunteers are retiring from their roles after many years of dedicated service. Their unwavering support and commitment have greatly enriched our community, and we are immensely grateful for the countless hours they've contributed. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours and hope to see them at our events as cherished guests! Thank you all for your invaluable contributions!

After a significant process of nomination and voting our staff have determined our school leaders for 2025.

· Captain Aroona Hala

· Vice-Captain Adi Roy
Congratulation to our student leadership team for 2025 – we expect great things from you all.
Year 6 Graduation
Congratulations to Afsaan, Chelsea, Yash, Minh Tan, Aara, Olivia, Rajveer, Risan, Enrica and Sherry for successfully completing Year 6 and primary school. We wish you all the very best as you formally move into our senior school and look forward to some outstanding achievement from you in the future.
Class Allocations 2025
After much work the staff have put together the classes for 2025. Parents and carers will soon receive a letter that will indicate your child’s room number, teacher and School Learning Support Officer for next year. Please be aware that there are occasions where adjustments need to be made at any point in the year. We have a significant number of new students joining us in 2025 and, as a result, expect some change to occur. These adjustments are only ever made with the utmost care and consideration for the learning and support needs of all students.
End of Year
I would like to extend my thanks to the staff and community of The Hills School for the tremendous cooperation we have experienced this year. We are indeed very fortunate to have such a connected and collaborative school community. We are very much looking forward 2025 and seeing the fruits of ongoing work in developing even better teaching, opportunities for our students and improving community cooperation and partnership.
School will resume for students on Wednesday 6 February 2025. I hope you all have a marvelous holiday break. We look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
