Principal's Message

Hello all and welcome to our Term 4 Week 6 newsletter.

It's been such a great term so far and the staff have been busily preparing for the raft of end of year items that happen every year - reports, assemblies, graduation etc.

Celebration of Learning

Parents and carers are invited to attend our annual Celebration of Learning  presentation day assembly being held on Tuesday 5 December. We will have with 2 separate assemblies as follows:

  • 9.30am - 10.15am  Room 6-7-8-10-11-12-13-14-18-19
  • 11.30am - 12.15pm Room 1-2-3-4-5-9-15-16-17

This event is a great opportunity to celebrate the successes of our students and recognise their hard work and consistent efforts in their learning throughout the year. Congratulations need to be shared with everyone for a great year of learning. Well done!

School Communication, School Bytes 2024 - Throughout this year we have been working to consolidate our digital parent communication and engagement systems. In 2024 we will move to the School Bytes platform, a Department of Education approved provider that will link all elements of school administration, finance and community engagement. School Bytes is a comprehensive school management platform providing schools with the tools they need to operate smoothly & efficiently. School Bytes will be our single platform for parent payments, excursion permissions, absence notifications, school notes and newsletters and a suite of other areas to be rolled out in the course of 2024. Our current app, SZapp will be decommissioned at the end of this year. Information will be coming home soon with details of signing up to the new system so we can welcome you to School Bytes for The Hills School.

Christmas Festival - this great Hills School community event is back again for 2023.  The festival is happening on Friday 1 December from 6.30pm - 8.30pm. I would like to warmly invite our families and the community to a night of inclusive fun. The P&C along with school staff are looking forward to spending this time together. We hope to see you there.
