Hello all and welcome to our Term 1 Week 10 newsletter.
Senior Information Evening
On Monday 25 March parents of students from Year 10-12 were invited to school to discuss the senior school program and learn about the transition to post school processes. At the meeting Kelly gave a presentation on the content of curriculum and work education programs for our older students and our support teacher transition Andrew Petersen shared about the transition planning process and options for different students. Teachers from each of the classes with Year 10-12 students joined the conversation and families heard from past parents Julie Hawkins, John Scotting and Jo O'Gorman as they spoke about their children's transition to post school options- the highs and lows along with what worked and didn't work. I wanted to publicly thank them all for joining us - the message is such an important one to share as I am sure that many mums and dads learnt more from their journey than could be gathered from less personal sources. We are looking forward to continuing this as a regular feature of community supports in the years to come. Year 10-12 parents are encouraged to attend the post school options bus tour on 25 June and 2 July. Again, thanks to those who were able to join us on the night.
School Photo Day
Last week we had a great time taking photos with all students and staff looking absolutely fabulous - some fancy hair and super slick looks. We had our staff photos done before school and it's always fascinating watching staff transform before they go to class - hair up, jewellery off, runners on ready for a day of active learning. For families wishing to make purchases of school photos please refer to notes provided or contact our office for some guidance.
School Holidays
School holidays are coming up fast and students last day at school is Friday 12 April 2024. We wish our families well for the school holidays, we hope you have a restful and fun time! The first day back for students in Term 2 will be Tuesday 30 April 2024.
